What does ROOAKH mean?

Tell me more about ROOAKH

Rooakh is the Hebrew word meaning spirit, breath and wind. Pronounced “roo (as in flew)-akh (as in the ending for rock),” its first occurrence in Scripture is in the first chapter of Genesis as the living activity of Spirit that harmonized the face of the primordial deep. In the Christian New Testament, the concept of the rooakh, was developed into the Rooakh ha Kadosh (the Holy Spirit), one of the three persons of the Trinity.

Who we are

Background

ROOAKH has been a ten-year unfolding process for both Taylor and Megan Remington. They have both participated and served in a number of Christian streams and spiritual practices, infusing their experiences with years of higher education and mentorship with Dr.O of Aactev8.

In addition to their Christian background and practice, they have explored the Jewish roots of Christianity for many years. For Taylor coming from a Jewish heritage, this exploration was a type of coming home. He completed his masters in Religion and Theology from Claremont School of Theology with an emphasis in transpersonal experience, thus developing his understanding of the metaphysical theologies and philosophies embedded within Christianity. Megan received her bachelors in Jewish Studies from the American Jewish University and is now in a Doctoral Program at UCLA in Ancient Judaism. They have both cultivated and studied the mystical practices and texts within the Jewish and Christian traditions for many years.
